Median Age of the World

This infographic visualizes the CIA World Factbook's data on the median age, life expectancy, and population of 150 countries as of 2015. Median age is the age that splits the population into two numerically equal groups; half of the people are older and half are younger. Life expectancy is the average number of years lived by a group of people born in the same year. Comparing these statistics creates a fascinating juxtaposition that raises questions about the affects of lifestyle, climate, government, and history.
