Experian teams up with the Pan-Mass Challenge

This morning, the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) announced that Experian is officially sponsoring the 2017 race. We are excited to share this news and to put our support behind an organization that many of our own employees have been passionate about for years.

For those of you who are not familiar with the PMC, it is an athletic fundraising event that raises money to support patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. It is the nation’s most successful athletic fundraising event, which will draw more than 6,200 cyclists and 4,000 volunteers August 5th and 6th for a two-day bike-a-thon across Massachusetts. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s largest single contributor, raising more than 52 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue.

Our colleagues have many reasons why they ride, typically a family member or a close friend who was affected by cancer. The impact on those individuals and their families is profound. You can’t help but tear up when you listen to these stories of courage and perseverance. Being inspired by our colleagues and the great work done by the PMC, we hope to help the millions of people who are affected by cancer every year.

We are sponsoring the Dighton-Rehoboth lunch spot and will support our team of riders in the August race. However, the area of contribution we are most excited about is to help the PMC improve their data quality.

We strongly believe that high-quality, actionable data can have a meaningful impact on organizations. We enable companies to better understand their data so that they can make the important decisions that will transform their business.

The PMC will receive a copy of Experian Pandora, our data discovery and profiling tool, which will allow the organization to gain actionable insight into the data held within their business. The PMC should be able to understand their donors and riders to make decisions that improve engagement. The hope is that with better data insight and access, the organization will increase the number of rider registrations and raise more money for cancer research each year.

We are excited to help the PMC not only with this year’s race but to help them grow their community for a long time to come. Our hope is that this long-term data impact will help the organization better achieve their mission and continue to contribute more every year to cancer research and treatment.
